What could be more inspiring than staying in a traditional thatched Zulu ‘rondavel’ (roundhouse) situated at the edge of a nature reserve in the heart of sunny Zululand? Watch giraffe glide past in the valley below your private viewing deck or from the infinity-edge swimming pool and appreciate this unique landscape of ochre, pink and gold.
Your day at Isibindi Zulu Lodge may be as action-packed or as gentle as you choose. You might start early with a morning game drive, breeze in your hair and sun on your face as you appreciate African wildlife from this unique perspective. Enjoy coffee and rusks at a scenic point and walk up close to the gentle giraffe on the reserve.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, after which you may be led on a tour of the Anglo-Zulu battlefields, where the stories of bravery and cowardice will enthral and inspire you.

Return to the lodge for a calm dip in the infinity-edge swimming pool, and perhaps enjoy a cool drink while lying on a pool lounger. Nap in your textured Zulu-inspired beehive hut and appreciate the African bushveld from the viewing platform of your private deck.

Later the flame-lit lamps will guide you down the path to a boma dinner under open African skies, where artistic Zulu dancing around a hot fire and a traditional meal with home-brewed beer will fill you with gratitude for being allowed insight into this beautiful corner of the world.
